By Rohin Dodhia, Grade 9
I watch you,
I watch you walk away.
The tears begin to slide down my face.
I blame myself for it.
How’d I lost it?
How’d I lose it all,
All in one argument.
For the first time, I had no words.
Nothing I say can bring you back.
Nothing.
Now I clasp onto our memories,
I don’t want to let you go, but I know I must.
My heart weeps with pain,
but it’s my mind that I trust.
There’s deadness in my heart,
But watching you walk away, I fall apart.
If only I could handle it,
I’d work my breath to shout the words;
Don’t walk away!
